Voilá: Here is our training halter Taomero®!
Biothane gives our supple, light (300 g) Taomero® the perfect stability. The buckles are great for adjusting the size and the lobster clasp makes the Taomero® super easy to take on and off. Thanks to the moving lead rope ring under the chin, this training halter (that can also be used as a sidepull for bitless riding) stays very still and does not slide into the eye of the horse! If you order our neck pads directly with your Taomero®, you can also get D-rings on the cheek straps to attach bit hangers for riding with a bit! Ten different sizes can be combined and there are more than 40 biothane and rope colors to choose from. We manufacture the Taomero® and all of our products by hand in Germany. Renowned instructors, trainers and therapists are just as much a part of our customer base as riders from all disciplines.
Good things to know about the ropes we use for the Taomero® and our double lunge: Our rope dries quickly and doesn’t get dirty too quickly. The rope has a low stretch and is easy to knot, so this rope is perfect for the Taomero®. The ropes we use have (OEKO-TEX) certification, which confirms that the rope is non-toxic and safe for humans and animals! All of our products made with this rope can be washed in the washing machine at 30° (please do not use fabric softener or put the product in the dryer).
“Young and inexperienced horses, horses breaking loose, rearing horses … I mostly deal with those types of horses in my daily work. So that’s why Tina, Saskia and I sat down one day and started thinking about how we could combine the advantages of a rope halter with the advantages of Biothane. It was important to me that the halter had a free -running lead rope ring so that it wouldn’t slide around or move on the horse’s head, or get into the eye of the horse. We also wanted a halter that did not need knots to keep its shape. In addition, the sidepull function is perfect because then you c an practice lateral flexion without the risk of the horse warping his head. It also allows us to use the halter not only for training from the ground, but also for riding. Perfect, I love it!”
For optimal results when working on the ground and lunging, it is essential that the cavesson fits perfectly and that the pressure is evenly distributed. That is why we use 19mm Biothane for the Equizaum® and 25mm thick Biothane on the noseband – this ensures the perfect balance of stability and lightness or flexibility. In addition, the Equizaum® is always adjustable on both sides in order to adapt it perfectly to the head of your horse. The Equizaum® can be perfectly adapted and thus adjusted to the physiognomically different horse heads: The cheek straps of the Equizaum® can be moved 4cm up and down with the help of a passage on the noseband. A Velcro fastener fixates the straps in the correct position between the nasal pad and the noseband. In addition, the gaiter strap is height – adjustable. For the sensitive neck area you can order our neck pads, which provide additional pressure relief in the area of the neck strap.
Every Equizaum® base is equipped with all D- and round rings so that you can use your cavesson for other purposes besides working on the lunge:
as bovecon (the two additional cavesson D-rings on the side)
as a sidepull (the two round rings on the side of the noseband)
as a bridle or bitless bridle (the D-rings on the upper part of the cheek piece) in combination with the bit hangers, the switch reins or the bitless bridle strap, which you can buy separately here from us online
Optional accessories: bit hangers, switch reins, or bitless bridle straps. You can get these separately in the shop. All rings and D-rings on our all-rounder Equizaum® are available as standard. If you want more stability in the area of the noseband (e.g. when lunging) you will find two different nasal arches as supplements in the shop.
The Equitrense® Vario is the right choice if you want to be able to switch between bit and bitless in the easiest, most comfortable way possible. You can use the Equitrense® Vario either as a sidepull, a regular bitted bridle (with the help of biothane bit hangers) or you can combine bit + bitless with our switch reins that can be attached to both the bit and the sidepull rings (bit hangers and dual reins are sold separately). With switch reins, you attach the small snap to the sidepull ring on the nose piece and the big snap directly to the bit. The strap that is attached to the bit is longer and adjustable so that you can decide how much pressure should be applied to the bit vs. the sidepull. Do you want your reins to apply equal pressure on the nose as on the bit?
Or do you want more pressure on the nose and less on the bit?
It’s up to you!
Even if your hands move, the switch reins can help avoid directly disturbing the horse’s mouth. The conversion of the three versions of the Equitrense® Vario is super easy and only takes a few seconds.
Optionally and for a surcharge (+ 5 euros) this Equitrense®® can be equipped with a lead ring (D-ring) on the chin strap.

NOTES: Due to the lighting conditions during product photography and different screen settings, the color of the prod
uct may not be reproduced authentically.
Neon colors can rub off!
Attention: The D-rings on the cheek straps allow the bridle to be used as a bitted bridle or
bitless bridle. The add-on parts (bit hangers, switch reins, bitless bridle straps) can be
ordered as separate items in the shop. The advantage: You can buy the add-on parts when you really need them and then of course in the color that you like best.
Would you like to compete in equipment from Equimero®? No problem! The Equitrense® Classic is very similar to a classic bridle, for example because of the continuous cheek straps into which the bit is buckled, as well as the browband, etc. That is why the Equitrense® Classic is suitable for competing. What makes the Equitrense® Classic so
special is the wide noseband which is very comfortable for the horse (optimal pressure distribution) and the neck pads, which leave the horse’s sensitive neck area free thanks to our bridge construction.
As a visual highlight, the nose pad can be wonderfully individually embroidered.
